Gettting Summer Ready with Gamiss

With summer just around the corner here and with really high temperatures in the last few days, I thought it was a great idea to prepare a wishlist from Gamiss to feature my favorite summer essentials, all those items you really need to have for your everyday life and also for those fun trips to the beach.
I narrowed my summer essentials down to 7 pieces and I was able to find some very nice clothes and accessories in this store for each category. So let's review them!

1- A dress:

This is a no-brainer, during the warm days there is nothing better and easier to wear a nice dress, to keep you cool but also looking stylish. I picked this gorgeous black off the shoulder dress because I think it's very easy to dress down or up, depending on the occasion you want to wear it for.

2- Denim shorts:

I literally live on them during the summer months. They are a key piece to have in your wardrobe because they are easy to style with everything. In this case, I picked this distressed denim shorts because they are very trendy and they have an effortless vibe.

3- A Trendy Tank Top:

The cool, trendy tank top is going to be the best friend of your denim shorts. This is basically my summertime uniform because it's easy, effortless and chic! I love this black tank top because it has that detail on the neckline that looks like a choker so you don't even need to put any accessories!

4- A pair of sandals:

This is another basic without a doubt because they will help your feet feel comfortable on those hot days but also, sandals look very feminine and they go perfectly with anything, dresses, shorts, skirts, and pants. I chose this pair because of the pearl embellishments, they definitely add a special touch to a basic pair of sandals.

5- A swimsuit:

Another must-have for those summer trips or pool parties that are coming my way. I really love the tropical print in this swimsuit and I also love the ruffle detail, I think it makes it very special and different.

6- A Hat:

If you are like me and you like to protect your face from the sun, a hat is a must for summer! Plus, I think they help you elevate any basic outfit and they give you that French Riviera vibe that we all want to have during summer. This oversize straw hat is the perfect choice if you want to have a glamorous look and be extra covered from the sun.

7- A Cool Beach Throw Blanket

Another nice addition to your accessories for those trips to the beach. I'm loving this one with the mandala design because I think it looks very different and trendy.

I hope you like this summer wishlist and please let me know which item was your favorite! :)

New Video: Summer in Croatia

I know I have already done 3 travel videos about Croatia, but I'm going to say in my defense that all the places in this video were not featured in the previous ones, so everything is kind of new :P In this video, the places I'm showing you are Zlatni Rat Beach, one of the most popular in Croatia, Split, the beautiful Rovinj, Medvednica mountain in Zagreb and last but not the least Rijeka.
I would also say in my defense that I really enjoy editing this kind of travel video clips, I always have so much fun thinking about which song I would use for the video and trying to match the images with the music. I hope you like the result as much as I did!! Let me know in the comments below. Also, don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel ;)

3 Reasons Why You Should Visit Bol

This post is some sort of second part of my Day Trip to Zlatni Rat post because on that same day I visited Zlatni Rat beach and the lovely city of Bol, where the beach is actually located. So, instead of doing my traditional travel post in which I tell you about what I did in a certain city and which were my impressions about the place, for this case I thought about doing something different because I didn't have the chance to explore Bol as much as I would have liked to.
I have only spent an afternoon in Bol while I was waiting for the bus to take me back to the ferry terminal in Supetar but those hours were more than enough for me to realize the beauty and the potential of this city. So here they are my 3 reasons why you should include Bol in your itinerary if you travel to Croatia and spend there more than a couple of hours. ;)

1- It's very close to Split and it's very easy to get there

If you are planning a trip to Croatia it's very likely that you are going to include Split in your itinerary because it's one of the most popular cities in the country and a great summer destination. And it's also very likely that you would want to visit any of the beautiful islands there are around the area. So here is where my advice comes up, go and visit Bol!
This town is located on an island called Brač which is just in front of Split and you can get there very easily by taking the ferry. The service has a very good frequency during the summer season so you can find the schedule that is better for you and in just one hour you will be on this beautiful island. Once there, you just need to catch a bus to take from Supetar, where the ferry terminal is, to Bol and that bus ride I can assure you has the most incredible views over the Adriatic Sea, so it's totally worth it.

2- You will be close to one of the most popular beaches in Croatia: Zlatni Rat

That's the reason why I went to Bol in the first place because I wanted to visit Zlatni Rat beach. I have already mentioned in my previous post why this beach is so incredible so imagine if you could spend a couple of days in this town just relaxing and going to this extremely beautiful beach every day, doesn't sound bad, right?

3- The architecture is very charming and the sunsets are amazing

Ok, these are two reasons in one but the afternoon I have spent in Bol allowed me to appreciate the beautiful and charming buildings it has. Like most of the other cities in Croatia, Bol has its cute old town part, perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee and do some people watching while relaxing and breathing the fresh summer breeze. Also, seeing the sunset over the Adriatic is an experience that you will never forget and even though I have tried to capture its beauty with my camera I don't think the pictures do justice to what it really looks like. You have to see it for yourself ;)

That's it, these were my 3 reasons why you should include Bol in your route if you go to Croatia, I really liked this town, it has a more charming, traditional, relaxing vibe than some other popular cities like Split or Hvar so I really feel it's worth the visit. I hope you like the pictures and let me know what do you think of this town, if you have visited or if you would like to go there!

Monthly Favorites: October

This month I have decided to continue with doing a Favorites post because there were a couple of things I was really loving during October. Some of them are new, some of them are oldies but goodies and they all share in common the fact that I have been loving them and using them a lot during last month! So, for this Favorites post, I'm going to share with you a couple of my beauty favorites, some clothing pieces that I have been wearing to death and a random item. Let's get to it!

1- Kiehl's Smoothing Oil-Infused Leave-In Concentrate

I know I'm repeating myself with this one but ever since I got this product for my birthday I have been using it non stop! I have to apply this to my hair every single day because it's really helping me to keep my frizz in control and also it makes my hair softer and shinier. Plus, as this concentrate has Argan and Babassu Oils you can imagine the incredible smell it has! I'm so in love with this product!

2- Mask of Magnaminty by Lush

I'm also repeating with this one and I have already done a review, but I feel like I need to add this to my monthly favorites as well because I have been using this mask every single week since I bought it in Croatia and I love it so much! The fresh and soft minty smell and how good it cleans my skin make this product one of my favorites lately. I'm running out of it and I'm already suffering because I can't get Lush products in Argentina so I guess that gives me a very good excuse to book a new trip, don't you think? ;)

3- H&M Nude Loafers

These have been my go-to shoes this last month because they are simple, comfortable, very stylish and they are so easy to style with everything. Also, I have been loving loafers lately and these ones are perfect for Spring because of their nude color. I think they look very pretty and I love wearing them!

4- Zara Zodiac Pattern T-shirt

I have already mentioned this item in my last haul and it definitely deserves a place in my monthly favorites because now that the days are warmer I have been wearing this T-shirt all the time! It's so comfortable and the fabric is very light, perfect for Spring season. Also, it goes well with any outfit and  I'm obsessed with this kind of Zodiac/ Astral print.

5- My new Coloring Book

This is the random item of this monthly favorites post. Last month I bought my first coloring book and I love it!!! I really wanted to start with this new hobby because I have heard that coloring is a good active meditation and it helps you relax and reduce stress but I didn't feel like coloring mandalas, so when I saw this book to paint different monuments of the world I thought it was perfect for me!! All the drawings are so beautiful and it has all the most important monuments, like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, the Colosseum in Rome, etc. so I'm having lots of fun doing this :)

So, that's it!! I hope you like this monthly favorites post and please let me know which items have you been loving lately? I would love to know!

Finding the Best Makeup Brushes

In order to achieve a fabulous makeup, it is not enough to have the best foundation, the most amazing bronzer and blush and the most gorgeous eyeshadow colors if you don't have the right tools to apply it. We sometimes concentrate all our efforts on finding what is the best makeup product for our skin tone, which colors will make stand out our best facial features and sometimes we forget the importance of having the most suitable makeup brush for each product. Because no matter how good the makeup is, if we are applying it with an incorrect or a bad quality brush, the results are not going to be as good as we want.

And it's really a pity because we sometimes invest a lot of money in buying high-quality makeup and don't take the same approach for the brushes. I'm saying this because that was my mindset a few years ago. I didn't have any good makeup brushes, I was just buying something that was cheap because I thought that, for example, if the eyeshadows were good then they will look good. But, I found it really hard to apply them correctly and in the end, the result wasn't as good as I have expected because they weren't so blended or they weren't applied in the right places.
For me, buying makeup brushes was complex because there are a lot of options, a lot of different brushes for different things and I didn't know so much about the topic. I still don't consider myself an expert on this but since I have started to learn about it and invest in a few good brushes I have seen a lot of difference. Now, for example, it is a lot easier for me to do my eyes make up because I have an angeled crease brush which allows me to apply the eyeshadow in the right place and blend it perfectly. Plus, there is no better sensation than applying your favorite makeup product with a brush that feels extremely soft and gentle.

So, when I found out that Reviews.com had made a complete list of the Best Makeup Brushes I thought it was going to be a great resource to share with you because I know how much we struggle to find the brushes that are suitable for us and I know how confusing this task may be, especially if you are on a budget and don't have lots of money to buy different brushes to test. You just want a couple of makeup brushes that are good quality, affordable, durable and that suit your needs.
Reviews.com made all the testing for you. They spoke to dermatologists and makeup artists to understand what to look for in a brush and then hand-tested 70 brushes from 16 popular brands (including Chanel, Sephora, Tarte, MAC, Real Techniques, Sigma and many others) and then they picked up their favorites taking into consideration their softness, durability, grip and, of course, design.

They tested 5 different brushes from each of the selected brands: a liquid foundation brush, a blush brush, a general eyeshadow brush, an eyeshadow smudge brush and an eyeliner brush. The results were that Sephora PRO Collection was their top pick in the overall, Tom Ford brushes were the best for Luxury makeup Brushes and Sonia Kashuk Tools were the best on a budget.

Also, this resource has very interesting tips about how to properly use your makeup brushes and how to properly clean them so you can make the most of your tools.
So, if any of you are considering buying new brushes I strongly recommend reading the guide from Reviews.com in order to find out how the brushes you are planning to buy are going to perform or if you don't have anything in mind, then even better because you will find many useful recommendations.
I hope you find this post interesting and useful and I would love to know what is your favorite makeup brushes brand and why?
